UPDATE: LeBron is officially being listed as questionable for Saturday’s game vs. the Blazers, but is still reportedly on track to play.
UPDATE: James is on track to play Saturday vs. the Portland Trail Blazers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Friday afternoon. This is very good news for the Lakers after we saw reports surface that James could miss some time due to the injury he sustained on Christmas. Keep an eye on LeBron’s status heading into this weekend.
Los Angeles Lakers PG/SF LeBron James could miss some time after aggravating a groin injury, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported late after Christmas Day.
New story: LeBron aggravated a nagging groin injury - different than the one he suffered last year, however - in a Christmas Day loss to the Clips which could cause him to miss some time for rehab coming up https://t.co/d4fYTSPX5w

The injury is apparently unrelated to what LeBron was dealing with prior to the Lakers’ loss to the Clippers on Christmas Day. He sustained the aggravation on a collision with Patrick Beverley in the first quarter. James played through the injury and nearly notched a triple-double in the loss.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Los Angeles Lakers PG/SF LeBron James
So if this is a worst-case scenario and James misses time, Anthony Davis will be a very appealing play in DFS and his season-long value is boosted. We should see Rajon Rondo pick up the slack at point guard and Kyle Kuzma pick up the slack at forward when needed. Kuzma had a season-high 25 points on Wednesday and maybe he’s ready to step up after struggling with injuries most of the season. I think we still need to gather information from the Lakers or the coaching staff before moving forward. Keep an eye on the news.
