James Conner ruled out for Week 17

James Conner has been ruled out against the Ravens due to his thigh injury. This is yet another injury in a string of injuries for Conner since entering the NFL. The Steelers still have a shot at making the playoffs if they can beat the Ravens, who will rest some key players, but their odds are slim as the Texans should rest some key players against the Titans, who will get in ahead of the Steelers if they win.

Conner will likely be replaced by a trio of backs, Benny Snell, Jaylen Samuels and Kerrith Whyte, making all three impossible to start in DFS or redraft fantasy this week.

This was a lost season for Conner and the Steelers, who played without Ben Roethlisberger for all but one game. Conner will finish the season with 116 rushing attempts for 464 yards and four touchdowns, adding 34 receptions for 251 yards and three touchdowns. When healthy, he is a top fantasy running back, even in a bad offense like the Steelers were this season but his health continues to be a concern.
