The Camping World Bowl between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Iowa State Cyclones is one of the two Saturday appetizers as we get ready for the College Football Playoff games later that night.
Notre Dame got lost in the national conversation after getting blown out by Michigan, but the Irish fought back to win five in a row to finish with a 10-win season.
Iowa State comes in with a 7-5 record, but it could have been much more than that. It had to be frustrating to be a Cyclones fan this season, losing games by 1, 1, 2, 7 and 10 points.
Game Time/TV Channel/Streaming
The Camping World Bowl will begin at 12:00 p.m. ET in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, Dec. 28 and can be seen on ABC and WatchESPN.

The Best Bet
Iowa State has been known to be a giant killer over the years under head coach Matt Campbell, and Notre Dame’s brand is certainly a giant. The Cyclones beat a down Texas team this season and came a two-point conversion away from taking down Oklahoma, but in the past three seasons, Iowa State beat #3 Oklahoma, #4 TCU and #6 West Virginia. And in the games Iowa State does lose, the Cyclones do not get blown out. I’ll take them to cover this spread.
Pick: Iowa State +3.5
