The Oakland Raiders will be without running back Josh Jacobs in their season finale against the Denver Broncos. Jacobs was listed as doubtful with his shoulder injury and recent illness, but the team officially downgraded him to out.
Jacobs has been dealing with a shoulder injury much of the season, but this week also brought an unexpected infection that required Christmas surgery on his lower leg. He sat out all three days of practice.
Fantasy football implications: Raiders RB DeAndre Washington
Jacobs absence means DeAndre Washington will get the start and Jalen Richard will serve as the third down back. Washington faces a tough Broncos defense but still offers considerable DraftKings value at just $5,200. He’ll get a sizable workload, having carried the ball 23 of the 28 running back carries last week.
Richard will hold some modest value at $3,800, but Washington gets some passing looks as well to justify sticking with him over Richard where possible.
