Ryan Tannehill ($6,800) has had a breakout season in his first season with the Titans. Tannehill’s passer rating of 116.5 is elite, ranking best among qualified QBs, and it has been fueled by completing 71% of his passes while averaging 9.6 yards gained per pass attempt, the best mark among QBs. Tannehill’s 20-to-6 TD to INT ratio is also strong. Tannehill is averaging 20.4 DraftKings fantasy points (DKFP) per game on the season, but that number is misleading given Tannehill is averaging 24.3 DKFP per start, the best fantasy production among active QBs in Week 17.
Fantasy football analysis: Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill draws a divisional matchup on the road at the Texans. Houston has already clinched the division and cannot record a first-round bye, so they don’t make much to play for. Meanwhile, if the Titans win, they will make the playoffs, so Tennessee will be hitting the gas.
The matchup for Tannehill is strong. Houston has been poor at defending the pass this season, allowing the third most DKFP per game to QB. Tannehill had success in this matchup in Week 15, logging 25.2 DKFP. With Tennessee needing a win to make the playoffs and Houston having little to play for, fantasy owners should get Tennessee’s best effort.
