Best lineup strategy for 49ers-Seahawks in Week 17 SNF Showdown

The Seahawks host the 49ers on Sunday Night Football. Who will shine in the regular season finale of DK Showdown?

The 49ers head into Seattle with major playoff implications on the line. The winner will be crowned NFC West champion, and the 49ers could earn a first round bye on top of that. Let’s check out some of the best plays for Sunday night’s DraftKings Showdown.

Captain Obvious

Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks ($15,000)

Must-win game? Check. Lack of viable running backs? Check. Healthy receivers? Check. With the Seahawks down to just Travis Homer and two free-agent pickups, Brian Schottenheimer and company may finally have to let Wilson loose. He has gone over 40 DKFP in two of the three games this season with at least 40 pass attempts.

Captain Courageous

Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks ($14,100)

If we believe that Seattle is going to throw the ball more, then that must pique our interest in their top receiving target. Lockett should go overlooked in this spot, with just one 100-yard game over his last six. However, much of that (lack of) damage was done with Josh Gordon a member of the team. Sans-Gordon, Lockett has managed a 24% target share and 30% air yard share this season. He has tremendous upside, even against a tough Niner secondary.

Flex Men

Travis Homer, RB, ($7,200)

Homer is the only roster-able Seahawk running back on this slate, with both Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin joining the team this week. Sure, they have some experience as a member of this team, but Homer is expected to be the clear lead runner, meaning he is probably in a better situation than either Chris Carson or Rashaad Penny were all year.

San Francisco 49ers, DST ($4,400)

Recommending three Seahawks and the opposing defense? Hear me out on this one. Seattle has allowed one of the highest rates of pressure on the year at 30.5%, while the Niners pressure opposing quarterbacks 28.1% of the time. That is the highest combined total of any matchup this week. And with Seattle having to throw more, expect San Fran to touch up Russell Wilson more than they otherwise would have expected.
