How to handle Jameis Winston injuries in Week 17 fantasy football

Winston is dealing with some minor injuries heading into Week 17, but we think he’ll still put on a show.

UPDATE: Jameis Winston is ACTIVE.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is listed as questionable for his team’s Week 17 matchup against the Falcons. The fifth-year veteran is having issues with his right thumb and knee, but was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday after being limited on Wednesday.

Winston leads the NFL in passing yards (4,908) and will face one of the league’s less threatening secondaries if he plays.

Fantasy football analysis, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB, Jameis Winston

Winston has thrown the ball at least 42 times in each of his last three appearances. While he was bottled up against Houston and threw four interceptions, he still totaled 335 yards in the air, which is promising. Although the Buccaneers have nothing to play for, I think coach Bruce Arians wants to end the year on a high note and not let minor injuries stop Winston from throwing for 5,000 yards.

Winston threw for 456 yards and four touchdowns against the Colts in Week 14, so he can definitely still be very productive without being 100 percent. He’s worth a start because he has tons of upside probably throw the ball at least 45 times.
