Juian Edelman should still be a factor for the Patriots in Week 17, despite popping up on the injury report.

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is listed as questionable for Week 17’s matchup with the Miami Dolphins because of shoulder and knee injures. The 33-year-old leader of the team’s receiving corps has been limited in practice all week, but that probably won’t affect his status for Sunday.

If there’s one thing we know about the Patriots, it’s that their injury reports are often just a ruse. Winning will secure a firs-round bye for New England, and Bill Belichick will certainly be looking reap the rewards of that advantage.

Fantasy football analysis, New England Patriots WR, Julian Edelman

Edelman has been the consistent target he’s always been for Tom Bray and has only notched fewer than five receptions in a game three times this year. The wideout has been target a hair under 10 times per contest and should get a steady flow of balls thrown his way as the Patriots look to secure a lead.

New England has a good chance to blow out the Dolphins and Edelman will get less snaps than usual. But you should still start him because of how much of a focal point he’ll be while he is in the game. Especially after the Dolphins gave up 396 passing yard to Andy Dalton in Week 16.
