James Conner, JuJu Smith-Schuster questionable for Week 14, but unlikely to play

The Steelers are likely to be without two key weapons once again in Week 14. We break down the fantasy football implications.

The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14 in a must-win situation as they look to maintain their spot atop the AFC wild card race. They are likely to have to win once again without running back James Conner and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Head coach Mike Tomlin told the media on Tuesday that both are not expected to play, but for now would be questionable heading into the practice week, according to beat writer Gerry Dulac. The team has three sessions Wednesday through Friday, so Tomlin is leaving the door open for them to return. He said Conner has a better chance of being able to practice.

Fantasy football analysis: Steelers RB James Conner, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster

Benny Snell replaced Conner in the starting lineup this past week, supplanting Jaylen Samuels on the depth chart the previous game. He had an average game, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown while Samuels finished with 32 rushing yards and 22 receiving yards. Snell would be the starting option for fantasy owners, while Samuels holds deeper PPR league value.

James Washington led the Steelers in receiving last week, with 111 yards and one touchdown. Diontae Johnson has not quite panned out of late, and Washington is the only receiver aside from JuJu worth starting in fantasy football.
