Florida State will be without some key pieces from the start of the season, starting with head coach Willie Taggart, who was fired in early November. The Seminoles’ best player Cam Akers will not be seen in this game as the running back is headed to the NFL Draft, skipping the bowl game.
For Arizona State, quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for more than 3,000 yards with 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Sun Devils’ running back Eno Benjamin and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk are also sitting out of this game to prepare for the NFL Draft.

The Best Bet
Both sides have been atrocious covering spreads late in the season, and my pick is 100% a result of the motivation factor. I see zero motivation for Florida State to play in this bowl game. The Seminoles are without their head coach and star running back from the start of the season. On the other side, how do you not get inspired to play a football game with Herm Edwards as the head coach? I’ll take the Sun Devils.
Pick: Arizona State -4
