The Wyoming Cowboys will take on the Georgia State Panthers in the Arizona Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
After an injury to starting quarterback Sean Chambers, Wyoming has relied heavily on the running game. Tyler Vander Waal struggled in the final four games of the season and entered the transfer portal after the regular season ended. Freshman Levi Williams will be starting for the Cowboys in the bowl game.
Quarterback Dan Ellington is an exciting, dual threat quarterback for Georgia State. He rushed for nearly 600 yards and scored five rushing touchdowns while throwing for 2,291 yards with 21 touchdowns. Running back Tra Barnett put up 1,389 yards and scored 12 rushing touchdowns for the Panthers.

The Best Bet
We’ll stick with the lone trend going into this game, which is the under. Wyoming has shown no ability to throw the ball pretty much all season, and the Cowboys will run the ball a ton with Xazavian Valladay, who went for over 1,000 yards this season. Wyoming’s defense has been solid and hasn’t allowed more than 26 points to any Group of 5 team this season.
Pick: Under 48
