The Detroit Lions have designated running back Kerryon Johnson as eligible to return and will welcome him back to practice on Wednesday. Johnson was placed on injured reserve in late October with a knee injury. He is eligible to return to game action in Week 15.

Johnson was having an up and down season when he went on IR. He had three touchdowns and one hundred-yard game in the first six games this season. Ty Johnson and Tra Carson got opportunities as the starting running back, but we saw multiple changes with Bo Scarbrough eventually moving into the starting role while JD McKissic has served as the passing down back.

Fantasy football analysis: Lions RB Kerryon Johnson

If Johnson progresses in practice this week, he becomes a big question for fantasy football owners. Most have likely stashed him on IR, but do you roll him out in a fantasy semifinal or championship game after all that missed time? I’d lean sitting him if he plays in Week 15, but it’s a roll of the dice.
