The Minnesota Vikings returned to practice on Wednesday to prepare for a Week 14 divisional matchup with the Detroit Lions, and running back Dalvin Cook got in a limited workout. Cook injured his shoulder this past Monday against the Seattle Seahawks and was replaced by Alexander Mattison in the second half.

Cook told the media it’s all about pain tolerance with his shoulder, according to beat writer Andrew Krammer. Cook was told he shouldn’t be at risk of injuring it worse, so he expects to play on Sunday against the Lions.

Fantasy football analysis: Vikings RBs Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison

Mattison is worth rostering, but if Cook is active on Sunday, Cook is the sole fantasy play. Mattison is almost exclusively a handcuff for the time being. In Cook’s absence this past Monday, Mattison rushed four times for 22 yards and caught four passes for 51 yards.

The Vikings have two more practice sessions, but if Cook gets in limited work in each, he should be good to go for Sunday.
