Ezekiel Elliott finds pay dirt twice in Cowboys loss

The Cowboys appear set to rely on running back Ezekiel Elliott in Week 14. We break down his fantasy football performance.

Final score update: The Cowboys lost 31-24. Ezekiel Elliott finished the game with 81 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and also had two catches for 12 yards.

UPDATE: Things slowed down considerably after that first drive. The Cowboys have not scored heading into the latter part of the third quarter. With a little over eight minutes left, Ezekiel Elliott has 13 rushes for 72 yards and the touchdown.

The Dallas Cowboys did not mess around in their opening drive of Week 14 Thursday Night Football. The team drove 75 yards on 17 plays over 8:57 and capped it with an Ezekiel Elliott touchdown run. Elliott had eight carries for 33 yards and punched in the touchdown on a two-yard run. He also moved past 1,000 yards rushing on the season with that drive.

This was the longest drive of the season, and certainly shows maybe the Cowboys are playing this one a little smarter on offense. Elliott rushed 12 times last week, and is well on his way to surpassing that total in the first quarter against Chicago.

The Bears are always reliant on Elliott to some degree, but with Tony Pollard out with an injury, it’s even more so this week. The Bears have given up the 14th most fantasy points to running backs and the Cowboys are comfortable attacking this unit directly. Dak Prescott completed four of six passes for 41 yards, but this drive was about Zeke.
