Final score update: Trubisky finished the game — a 31-24 Bears win — with 244 passing yards, three touchdowns, and an interception, and 66 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
UPDATE: Trubisky just ran in a 23-yard touchdown to give the Bears a 31-14 lead over the Cowboys. Early in the fourth quarter, he has passed for 227 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, and rushed for 64 yards and the touchdown.
The Chicago Bears are embarrassing the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is rolling midway through the third quarter. He just threw his third touchdown pass of the night to go along with 196 yards. He opened the game with an ugly interception, but has settled down since then.
This marks Trubisky’s second straight three-touchdown performance. His passing has been mostly on point, but its his rushing that has been huge for the Bears offense. Trubisky has run seven times for 42 yards. His season-high prior to Week 14 was 18 yards.
It was a shaky season at times for Trubisky, but he finally seems to be settling down. They step up in competition next week when they travel to Lambeau Field to face the Packers. Green Bay’s defense has struggled at times, but is better than what the Cowboys send out there. Trubisky’s three-touchdown performances have come against the Cowboys, Washington, and twice against the Lions. We’ll see if he can do it next week in Green Bay.
