Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup stand out in Cowboys loss

The Dallas Cowboys lost their third straight to drop to 6-7, but if you rolled out Amari Cooper or Michael Gallup in your fantasy football playoffs, you benefited. The Cowboys passing game took some time to get going, but Cooper and Gallup had huge second halves to salvage things for fantasy players.

Cooper looked a bit gimpy at times, but finished the game strong. He found the end zone for a score and had six receptions for 83 yards. Gallup led the way with 109 yards on six receptions.

It’s been slow-going at times for the Cowboys pass catchers, but Dak Prescott seems to be making effort to work them into the flow more regularly. Cooper in particular had been shutout three weeks ago against the Patriots, catching neither of his two targets. A week later against Buffalo he was targeted 11 times, and this week he was targeted eight times.

The Cowboys host a solid Rams pass defense in Week 15. If you advance to your playoff semifinals, Cooper and Gallup would seem to be solid volume plays based on recent performances. Prescott is looking their way more regularly, which bodes well for fantasy performances.
