There are 10 games on Friday’s main slate on DraftKings. Here we’ll discuss how to approach the small forward position, highlighting some of the stud, mid-range and value options available in daily fantasy basketball. This will help you in DFS lineup construction and season-long fantasy basketball, depending on who’s on your roster. So let’s get into the breakdown:

High-priced options

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,300) comes in as the highest-priced player on the slate, though I’m not so sure if I’d suggest rolling him out. He hasn’t returned value in five straight, mostly due to blowout wins by the Bucks, who are looking for their 14th straight win. I doubt that’s the case vs. the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard ($8,400), but if it is, I can’t see Giannis returning value on this salary. He’s not getting enough assists lately and his ceiling is capped because of it. He’d have to drop 40-50 points on Kawhi and PG-13, which I don’t think he can do.

There’s a lot of crossover between PG/SG and SF, so I’ve mentioned a few options in LeBron James ($10,100) and Jimmy Butler ($8,100) who are also SF eligible.

Mid-range options

Aaron Gordon ($6,900) is on the rise and takes on the Cavaliers. He’s played 30+ minutes in back-to-back games and scored 32 points with 49.75 DKFP vs. the Suns on Wednesday night. Gordon was 5-of-5 from downtown and Cleveland isn’t great at defending the 3-point line, especially with a size mismatch in Gordon.

I know D’Angelo Russell is back, but I think we can still continue to use Eric Paschall ($6,200) this season. He’s emerged as the Warriors’ best option down low and the matchup vs. the Bulls is solid. Paschall feasted in this matchup a few weeks ago, scoring 25 points with seven rebounds for 38.75 DKFP against Chicago.

Value options

The Timberwolves may be without Andrew Wiggins tonight vs. the Thunder and they’ve already stated they want to keep Josh Okogie ($3,700) in the starting rotation moving forward. Okogie played 27 minutes vs. the Mavericks on Wednesday, and while he hasn’t returned much value, that could change tonight if Wiggins sits.
