The Boston Celtics (15-5) kept rolling at TD Garden on Wednesday, knocking off the Miami Heat to remain undefeated at home this season (8-0). They’ll welcome in the Denver Nuggets (14-5), who are coming off an easy win over the New York Knicks on Thursday night. The Celtics are expected to get guard Marcus Smart (illness/oblique) back in the lineup tonight after he missed Wednesday’s contest. Let’s break down the lines and odds on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Spread: Celtics (-3.5)
Over/Under: 205.5
Money line: Celtics (-155), Nuggets (+130)
The Celtics just don’t lose at home, man. I figured the Heat would give them a run for their money without Smart in the lineup, but that was the polar opposite. Boston won 112-93 and the spread here looks appealing despite the Nuggets boasting a top defense and second-place standing in the Western Conference. I just think the Celtics are a better overall team and are more consistent on offense. So I’m not taking the points here. The O/U seems right on par with what to expect, but I could see the OVER hitting given how the Celtics are playing on offense. My worry would be Denver struggling to score. Gimme the Celtics on the money line to stay undefeated at home.
Prediction: Celtics 108, Nuggets 99
