Josh Jacobs questionable, Trent Brown OUT for Week 14

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is questionable for Sunday, which could leave fantasy football players scrambling. We break down the implications.

The Oakland Raiders host the Tennessee Titans in a huge Week 14 matchup, and the Raiders have a couple big issues on the injury report. Running back Josh Jacobs is listed as questionable on the final injury report, while offensive tackle Trent Brown has been ruled out for the game.

Jacobs is dealing with a shoulder injury that he is saying was fractured back in Week 7. He did sat out Wednesday and Thursday practices, and head coach Jon Gruden said he did not do much on Friday, according to beat writer Vic Tafur. Meanwhile, Trent Brown has been sidelined with a pectoral injury and did not practice at all this week.

Fantasy football analysis: Raiders offense

If Jacobs does not play, DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard would split work in the backfield. Washington would be the rushing down back while Richard would be the passing down back. Neither would be worth a fantasy start.

Brown’s absence is a big deal for the entire offense. It downgrades the blocking and lowers the ceiling of everybody. If Jacobs is active on Sunday, you play him regardless of what the offensive line looks like. Tight end Darren Waller is worth a start as well, but it’s hard to justify much else on the Raiders offense.
