With Eric Ebron put on I.R. last week, Jack Doyle led the Colts in targets and played over 90 percent of the snaps on his way to 6-of-11 receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown against the Titans. He now has three touchdowns in his last five games.
The Colts always throw to their tight ends, especially in scoring territory, and with Ebron gone, it appears that won’t change. Indianapolis is also without T.Y. Hilton, which should help concentrate targets toward Doyle, especially around the goalline.
Fantasy football analysis: Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle
Doyle gets to face a Buccaneers defense this week that has been bad. If the Cardinals weren’t so poor at defending tight ends, we’d all be talking about who the next tight end to face Tampa Bay is going to be and how excited we are to start him.
On the season, the Bucs have allowed the second most fantasy points to tight ends and the third-most yards per reception. At a week position, Doyle quickly becomes a must start and Top-5 option in Week 14.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Doyle.
