The Portland Trail Blazers (9-14) host the Oklahoma City Thunder (9-12) on Sunday evening in a matchup of teams fighting to get into playoff position in the Western Conference. The Blazers are coming off a tough loss to the Lakers on Friday. The Thunder have won four of their past six games and are beginning to come together. The Carmelo Anthony experience continues in Portland, with Melo coming off a lackluster performance against LeBron James.
Let’s take a look at the lines on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Thunder vs. Trail Blazers spread, over/under, money line
Spread: Trail Blazers (-3.5)
Money line: Trail Blazers (-162), Thunder (+135)
This is a short line for two teams playing different basketball. I think I take the Thunder getting points on the road considering they’re a better defensive team and are mostly healthy at the core of the lineup. Steven Adams is back and is playing well, plus Portland’s front court is thin. I’ll take OKC on the points. The O/U seems high, so I’d be leaning on the under given the Thunder play decent defense and don’t score much. I’d also get the plus-money on OKC on the ML.
Prediction: Thunder 102, Trail Blazers 96
Carmelo Anthony prop bets
This is a tough spot for Melo and his O/U of 16.5 points. He’s hit this number in five of nine games this season, and most of that was beating up on a poor defense in the Bulls. OKC has players to throw at Anthony, so this won’t be an easy day for him. I’d fade the O/U for Melo.
