UPDATE: Jared Cook is headed to the locker room with the independent neurologist and is being evaluated for a concussion.
New Orleans Saints tight end Jared Cook is off to a huge start with two touchdowns, but he took a brutal illegal hit on the second touchdown and is in the team’s medical tent, per multiple reports.
Cook has two receptions on the day, one for 38 yards and a score, one for 26 yards and a score. On the latter, cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon hit Cook in the head as the tight end was coming down with the catch. The ball looked like it jostled, but the referees upheld it as a touchdown.
