Jameis Winston injures hand, returns after brief Ryan Griffin substitution

It’s a hand injury, but Winston is back.

FINAL UPDATE: After the game, head coach Bruce Arians said that Winston had a small fracture in his hand, per Jenna Laine. Arians said it did not impact Winston’s throws and he does not know what it means for Winston this week in practice.

UPDATE #3: Winston has return to the game, per beat writer Rick Stroud.

UPDATE #2: Winston has a hand injury and is questionable to return, per team reporter Scott Smith.

UPDATE: Winston went to the locker room briefly, but is now back warming up on the sideline, per beat writer Jenna Laine.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have replaced quarterback Jameis Winston with Ryan Griffin to start the third quarter. This does not appear to be an injury replacement, but rather a performance decision. Winston completed 20 of 28 passes for 277 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the first half.
