End of game update: Mahomes finished out the game, but is getting an x-ray to see if there’s any damage, per Albert Breer.

UPDATE: Mahomes has looked uncomfortable at times, but he is gutting it out with a strong performance early in the second quarter. After a 4-of-9 start, he is 2-of-3 for 69 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs have taken a 10-7 lead on the Patriots.

The Kansas City Chiefs face a tough matchup in Week 14, and the degree of difficulty might be increasing. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been grabbing at his hand after passes and appears to be in discomfort. Backup Matt Moore was spotted warming up briefly, but he has stopped for the time being.

The team has not pulled Mahomes, but analyst Tony Romo thinks there is something wrong with Mahomes hand. Romo pointed at what appeared to be an issue gripping the ball on some of his throws. Mahomes has completed four of nine passes for 55 yards and an interception midway through the first quarter. The Chiefs trail 7-3.
