The 49ers won a thriller in New Orleans with help from their new lead back Raheem Mostert. Last week Mostert had 21 touches for 154 yards and two touchdowns with Matt Breida sidelined but this week, with Breida back in the fold, he had another big game. Mostert finished with 10 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown and caught both of his targets for 40 yards and another touchdown. That makes for a whole lot of fantasy points sitting on fantasy benches these last two weeks.
Breida had six carries for 54 yards and caught one target for four yards while Tevin Coleman had three carries for six yards. Coleman has now been relegated to third-string as he’s had poor efficiency numbers of late.
Mostert still only had 12 touches, so we can’t expect him to always top 100 yards and hit two touchdowns, but he’s proven himself in these last two games enough to keep him rolling next week against the Falcons.
