What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 10?
Cooper had four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 9. He is dealing with knee and ankle issues that have him listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Vikings. His salary for the SNF Showdown matchup is $15,000.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 9?
Amari Cooper got hurt in Week 6 and was a big question mark heading into a prime time game against the Eagles in Week 7. Cooper bounced back from the injury to catch five passes for 106 yards. The Cowboys went into their bye after that and now face the New York Giants on Monday Night Football in Week 9. It’s a Showdown contest, so we do not have prices yet.
Cooper opened the season with three straight double digit performances and two of them surpasses 25 DKFP. In the four games after that, he alternated single and double digit performances. Now, he faces a Giants defense that has given up the third most fantasy points to the wide receiver position.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 8?
Midway through last week, Amari Cooper looked like he was not going to play in Week 7 against the Eagles. He returned to practice late in the week, however, and was active for Sunday Night Football. Cooper made a big impact, catching five passes for 106 yards and finishing with 18.6 DKFP.
The Cowboys are on bye this week, which gives Cooper some much-needed rest. The Cowboys return in Week 9 with a road game against the Giants.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 7?
Week 6 was a short Sunday for Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper. He was targeted twice and caught one pass for three yards before suffering a thigh injury on his third snap of the game. He left and did not return the rest of the afternoon, finishing with 1.3 DKFP.
Cooper’s status is uncertain for Week 7 when the Cowboys face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. He did not practice on Wednesday, and his status is in serious question for the game. We do not have an SNF Showdown price for him yet, but regardless, he is likely someone to pass on this weekend. If Cooper cannot play, Michael Gallup would get the start in his place, and Tavon Austin would turn into a somewhat intriguing option.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 6?
The Cowboys were stunned by the Packers in Week 5, but Amari Cooper did all he could to give his team a chance. The Cowboys receiver caught 11 of 14 targets for 226 yards and a touchdown. It was not enough to get the Cowboys a win, but it did net him a whipping 42.6 DKFP.
Dallas faces a struggling Jets squad, and while New York gets Sam Darnold back, their defense is still a disaster. Cooper’s price increased $200 this week to $7,000. It’s a choice matchup, and if the Jets offense is improved with Darnold at the helm, maybe a competitive game keeps the passing game going for Cooper.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 5?
Amari Cooper had his quietest game of the season in Week 4 as the Dallas Cowboys offense was shut down by the New Orleans Saints defense. Cooper had five receptions on eight targets for 48 yards, and finished with 9.8 DKFP. It was a slow day across the board for the Cowboys pass catchers, and the offense as a whole.
The Cowboys host the Green Bay Packers in Week 5, and Cooper’s DraftKings salary has dropped $500 to $6,800. You might think that adds some value, but the Cowboys face a tough Packers defense this week. Green Bay has given wide receivers a tough time, giving up the fewest fantasy points to the position. Cooper’s value might actually arrive two weeks from now when Dallas travels to face the New York Jets.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 4?
The Cowboys crushed the Dolphins in Week 3, and Amari Cooper was the big beneficiary on offense. He caught six passes for 88 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Dolphins kept things close in the first half before the Cowboys pulled away, but the close start meant the passing game remained relevant to Cooper’s benefit.
Dallas travels to face the Saints in Week 4 on Sunday Night Football. We get a Showdown contest, so Cooper’s price is still to be determined. The Saints pass defense has stumbled a bit out of the gate, so Cooper could be in line for a solid matchup.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 3?
Cooper took a step back in Week 2 — still productive, but not quite the ceiling we want. He finished with four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown in a win over Washington. Devin Smith led the Cowboys with 74 yards, while Michael Gallup led with six receptions and eight targets.
Gallup suffered a meniscus tear in the win and will miss two to four weeks. Smith is the guy coming off traditional fantasy waiver wires, but this opens the door for more targets for Cooper. His price went up $100, but the bigger question is how busy the receivers will be against an atrocious Dolphins team. If this turns into a route, Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard could be the busiest of the group.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 2?
Kellen Moore’s new offense was on full display Sunday as the Cowboys offense looked silky smooth movie the ball at will. Cooper caught six receptions on nine targets for 106 yards and a touchdown, good for 25.6 fantasy points on DraftKings.
Cooper enters Week 2 as the seventh most expensive receiver, costing $7,400. With the Cowboys set to face a Washington secondary that was picked apart by the Eagles in Week 1, I’ll happily pay Cooper’s price tag this week. I’d fully expect him to put up another solid week against an easy opponent.
Amari Cooper 2019 fantasy football preview
Amari Cooper spent the first six games of 2018 suffering in Oakland on a Raiders team that clearly did not want him or know what to do with him. It looked as though Cooper’s 2018 was going to be a wash and he’d be a major fantasy disappointment.
Then Jerry Jones and his Dallas Cowboys decided to get frisky and traded for Cooper, adding a vital receiving option to their offense. In Dallas, the Amari Cooper of old was on full display, becoming Dak Prescott’s go-to weapon. Cooper racked up 725 yards on on 53 catches and six touchdowns in his nine games with the Cowboys.
Coming into 2019, Cooper has had a full offseason with Prescott and the rest of the Cowboys offense and is all set to play an even larger role this year (especially with Ezekiel Elliott likely sitting out the first couple of weeks). There are big expectations for him and he has a lot to prove.
What is Amari Cooper’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 1?
Cooper comes into Week 1 as the seventh most expensive wide receiver, costing $7,000 on DraftKings. He falls behind Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen and A.J. Green. The Cowboys start the season at home facing the sure-to-be-terrible New York Giants. The Giants allowed the 12th most receiving yards to wide receivers last year so I would fully expect Cooper and the rest of the Cowboys offense to pass the ball at will.
