What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 10?
Evans put together a monster performance in Week 9, catching 12 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown. He finished with 39 DKFP. The Bucs face the Cardinals in Week 10 and Evans’ salary rose $400 to $7,600.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 9?
To say it’s been an up and down season for Evans would be an understatement. Four weeks ago he had zero points, and twice this season he’s had the highest scoring performance of any player. This past week, he caught 11 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns, finishing with 45.8 DKFP. It nearly matched his Week 3 performance of eight receptions for 190 yards and three touchdowns, finishing with 48.0 DKFP.
The Bucs travel to face the Seahawks in Week 9, and Evans’ price has increased $600 to $7,200. The Seahawks have given up the 12th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers through the first eight weeks.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 8?
It’s been a rough year for Mike Evans, who has had some big moments but is struggling to find consistency opposite Chris Godwin. Evans put in a solid effort two weeks ago in London, catching nine passes for 96 yards for 20.6 DKFP.
The Bucs returned and had a bye this past week. In Week 8, they travel to face a tough Titans defense. It’s no surprise Evans salary drops $300 to $6,600 for the game. The Titans have given up the seventh fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. I’d probably avoid Bucs this week, but I’d rather pay $500 more for Godwin at this point.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 7?
A week after getting shut out in a road game against the Saints, Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans bounced back in Week 6 in a London game against the Panthers. He finished with nine receptions for 96 yards, which was good for 20.60 DKFP. Chris Godwin, who is emerging as the bigger threat in the Bucs passing game, had 10 catches for 151 yards — good for 28.10 DKFP.
The Bucs return home for a bye in Week 7. They will head on the road in Week 8 to face the Titans, followed by the Seahawks in Week 9. The Titans have given up the ninth most fantasy points this season.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 6?
It was a big ol’ goose egg for Mike Evans in Week 5. The Bucs wide receiver did not have a single catch in the team’s loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Saints defense had a solid performance, holding Jameis Winston to 204 yards. Chris Godwin did step up in a big way however, catching seven passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bucs travel to London in Week 6 to face the Carolina Panthers. It is an early game, with a 9:30 a.m. kickoff. There is no DraftKings price available yet, but as soon as something comes available, we’ll update this.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 5?
It would appear Mike Evans is back. After two fairly quiet performances to open the season, he was the highest scoring player at any position in Week 3, and followed up with a solid Week 4 stat line. Against a stout but increasingly inconsistent Rams defense, he had four receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown to finish with 18.9 DKFP. He alternate strong performances with Chris Godwin, who finished with 44.2 DKFP in Week 4.
His price remains the same in Week 5, at $7,100. The Bucs travel to face a Saints defense that has given up the fifth most fantasy points to wide receivers, but shut down the Dallas Cowboys offense in Week 4. This is an intriguing road matchup, but considering Chris Godwin is $200 less, if you had to go with either receiver, Godwin might be the better call.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 4?
Entering Week 3, we were unsure what was going on with Bucs receiver Mike Evans. He had six receptions for 89 yards and no touchdowns, and it felt like he had slipped behind Chris Godwin in Jameis Winston’s eyes. Not so fast, my friends! Evans had a monster breakout performance in Week 3 against the Giants, catching eight passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns. He was the highest scoring player in DraftKings scoring, with 48 DKFP.
We’ll see if that’s a one week blip, or if he’s back to his old ways in a difficult Week 4 matchup at the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams defense is off to a solid start, and Jameis Winston will have a difficult go of it on Sunday. Evans salary climbed $500 to $7,100, and you have to wonder if it’s a little high for the time being.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 3?
It’s been a rather rough start for the Bucs top wide receiver in 2019. He showed some improvement in Week 2, catching four passes for 61 yards on Thursday Night Football against the Panthers. However, for the time being, Chris Godwin is coming off a monster eight reception, 121 yard, one touchdown performance.
The Bucs host the abysmal New York Giants in Week 3, and Evans has seen his price drop from $7,900 in Week 1 to $6,600 in Week 3 (he was in a Showdown game in Week 2). Godwin has climbed past him to a salary of $6,900, and suddenly Evans is looking like a potential value play. Godwin could prove to be the No. 1 guy moving forward, but Evans is a sleeper this weekend.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 2?
It was a pretty terrible start to the season for Evans thanks in larger part to Jameis Winston looking completely lost and throwing three interceptions against the 49ers. Evans finished with only 4.8 points on DraftKings, catching two balls for 28 yards. Let’s hope this won’t be the new norm for him for the season.
Things won’t get easier for Evans as the Buccaneers face a Panthers defense that allowed only 155 receiving yards to the Rams last week. Evans heads into Week 2 with a $7,000 salary on DraftKings. This makes him the 13th most expensive wide receiver this week. This might be the cheapest you can get Evans this season and if he plays like we know he can Thursday night, there’s some real value here.
Mike Evans 2019 fantasy football preview
Mike Evans was an absolute beast last year, finishing as the No. 6 fantasy wide out. He put forward a career high 1,524 yards on 86 catches with eight touchdowns. It might be hard to look at that stat line and think things can get better. But I assure you, they can.
Let me introduce you to Bruce Arians’ offense, where quarterbacks sit in the pocket for way too long and toss up 50/50 balls hoping their receiver can go make the play. Good thing for Jameis Winston he’ll be throwing the ball to possibly the best 50/50 receiver in the NFL. I would expect Evans to post another season of 15-plus yards per reception this year.
Evans’ target share might take a small hit with the development of Chris Godwin and the rise of O.J. Howard, but don’t think that that will cool him off. He’ll still be Winston’s go-to receiver and the No. 1 target in the red zone. I for one can’t wait to see what Evans is able to do this season.
What is Mike Evans’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 1?
Evans opens the year with a $7,900 salary on DraftKings, the third most expensive receiver behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Julio Jones. There’s reason though to pay that price for him. The Buccaneers start the season at home against a San Francisco 49ers team that gave up the seventh most fantasy points to opposing receivers and the most receiving touchdowns (27). You can pay for Evans with the confidence that he’ll produce.
