Point spread, total, moneyline and more for Lions-Eagles in Week 3

The Lions are a shaky unbeaten squad, while the Eagles are having a rough go of it to start the season. We break down some key odds numbers, including the point spread and past performances.

The Lions enter Week 3 undefeated, but it feels precarious. The schedule has been kind, facing a bottom-dwelling Cardinals and a mostly-injured Chargers. Despite the theoretically easy start, they’re averaging just 20 points with a 1-0-1 record and a scoring margin of +3. With the Chiefs looming in Week 4, the Lions are at serious risk of holding a sub-.500 record by their Week 5 bye. Their schedule remains hard after that, as they haven’t started divisional play in the hyper-competitive NFC North. It’s hard to call an undefeated team’s Week 3 game a “must-win”, but Sunday’s contest could play an outsized role in determining the course of the Lions’ season.

The Eagles are now 1-1 after last week’s loss to the Falcons. They didn’t score a TD in the first half, and trailed nearly the entire game. They’ll need to invigorate the offense, despite that they may be without top WRs DeSean Jackson (abdomen) and Alshon Jeffery (calf), TE Dallas Goedert (calf), and multiple O-lineman. It’s only been two games, and the injury bug has bitten hard, but the Eagles offense has disappointed so far. They’ve fallen from seventh (in 2018) to 12th in passing yards, despite two very mediocre defensive opponents.
