Spread picks for every NFL game in Week 3

The NFL is fast approaching the quarter point of the 2019 season, and we still have a host of questions as we consider Week 3 wagers. We won’t get final answers this weekend, but we’ll get a better handle on things.

The biggest question might be how for real are the Baltimore Ravens? They blew out the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 and then held off the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. This week they travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs in a very clear step up in competition. A third straight win would boost Baltimore’s Super Bowl odds considerably, but we’ll see if they can overcome being a 5.5-point underdog.

An unexpected unbeaten team is the 1-0-1 Detroit Lions. They blew a big lead in Arizona, resulting in a tie with the Cardinals, and then edged out the beaten up Los Angeles Chargers. They travel to face a banged up Philadelphia Eagles as a 5.5-point underdog. I grabbed the line at 6.5, but there still might be some intriguing value.

I’m sitting at 17-15 on the season after an 8-8 performance in Week 2. I’m off to an inauspicious start in Week 3, having picked the Jacksonville Jaguars as a 1.5-point favorite. I managed a victory by taking the under on the 38 point total, so that’s something!
