How to handle T.Y. Hilton in Week 3 fantasy football

Can you count on the Colts receiver for fantasy production this week?

Editor’s update 8:36 a.m.: Mack is likely to play on Sunday vs. the Falcons, according to Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter, but it will not be formally decided until he has conducted a pre-game workout. He plays at 1 p.m. ET, so you should know by 11:30 a.m. when inactives are announced.

The Indianapolis Colts officially listed wide receiver T.Y. Hilton as questionable on this week’s injury report as he’s dealing with a quad injury. However, there’s probably no need to be worried about it if you’re contemplating his fantasy prospects this week against the Falcons. Hilton practiced, albeit in a limited role, every day leading up to the game, so he should be suited up and ready to go on Sunday.

The Colts very much a run-first team now. Hilton won’t be piling up triple-digit yardage games like he used to (remember when he led the league with 1,448 yards in 2016? That seems like another lifetime). Nevertheless, he has a very solid level of production that you can count on week to week.

Hilton has already scored three touchdowns this season. The Colts just don’t throw it to anyone else as regularly as they do Hilton. His 12 catches lead the team. Nobody else has more than five.

Fantasy impact: Hilton should be able to produce just fine against a Falcons team that let Nelson Agholor rack up 107 yards and a touchdown against them last week. With Marlon Mack also dealing with an injury, there’s even the possibility that the Colts throw the ball a little more.
