What to do with Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams in Week 4 fantasy football

The Packers running backs are sharing carries, so what does that mean for your fantasy decisions?

A week after getting 27 touches, it made sense for the Green Bay Packers to take it easy on running back Aaron Jones in Week 3 against the Broncos. But it was hardly a bad week for him. Despite getting just 10 touches, he did still manage to score twice. But what has fantasy owners wondering is the sudden uptick in work for Jamaal Williams in that game.

Williams rushed 12 times for 59 yards last week, and he caught two passes for another 27 yards. It was the most work he’s gotten all season, and it sounds like he might be in line for more.

Ahead of their Week 3 game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said he wanted to “even up” things between Williams and Jones. He held true to his word against the Broncos. Given Williams’ level of production, he’s likely to keep getting work in Green Bay’s offense, some of that at the expense of Jones.

Fantasy impact: Jones is still the better bet. Despite getting less work than Williams last week, those two touchdowns kept his fantasy scoring floor high enough to stay in your lineup. This is a tougher matchup against the Eagles defense.
