The NFL kicks off Week 4 on Thursday evening with the Green Bay Packers hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. We’ve had some shaky TNF matchups to kick off the season, but this could be a fun one. The Packers are undefeated and leading the NFC North, while the Eagles have struggled out of the gate to a 1-2 record. It’s a key conference showdown at this early point.
The weekend brings two unexpected huge matchups of unbeaten teams. The 2-0-1 Detroit Lions host the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs, and the 3-0 Buffalo Bills host the 3-0 New England Patriots. The Lions and Bills are surprises thus far, and the betting public does not expect much from them in huge opportunities to show they’re for real. Over 90 percent of bettors at DraftKings Sportsbook are betting on the Chiefs and Patriots to cover 6+ point spreads.
A potentially sneaky good matchup this weekend could be Seahawks-Cardinals. Arizona got thumped last week by Carolina, but had been competitive in its first two games with Kyler Murray at the helm. NFC West divisional matchups can be wild, so I suspect this ends up a fun one.
If you’re in a pick ‘em contest, I’ve put together my complete list of Week 4 straight up picks. You can check out SB Nation’s full list of experts picking here. I’ll have my full list of picks against the spread on Sunday. I’m taking the Packers -4 tonight on TNF, and will have a full write up later this morning.
