Editor’s update 3:02 p.m.: The Buccaneers announced their Week 4 inactives, and Chris Godwin will play against the Los Angeles Rams. He is dealing with a hip injury, but as Sunday dawned, reports had him expected to play through the pain. Godwin got off to a strong start this season, with 11 catches for 174 yards and two touchdowns in the first two weeks. He had three receptions for 40 yards in Week 3 as Mike Evans exploded on the scene. Both receivers face a tough test in Week 4 against a stout Rams defense.

Editor’s update 8:32 a.m.: Bucs wide receiver Chris Godwin is expected to play on Sunday vs. the Los Angeles Rams, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He had a big first two weeks before taking a step back in Week 3 when Mike Evans exploded. The Bucs face a Rams defense that has been strong to date and brings plenty of challenges. Godwin is worth the start, but it will be a tough one for him.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have listed wide receiver Chris Godwin as questionable this week. He’s dealing with a hip injury, and we won’t know whether or not he’ll play against the Los Angeles Rams until the last minute.

Godwin’s hip injury kept him out of practice until Friday this week. Head coach Bruce Arians described Godwin’s status as day-to-day.

Through the first two weeks of the season, Godwin was the Bucs’ receiving leader, accumulating 174 yards and two touchdowns in those first couple of games. But last week No. 1 receiver Mike Evans was back to being The Man for Tampa Bay, getting targeted 15 times against the Giants. That cut into Godwin’s production, and he finished the game with just 40 yards on three catches.

Fantasy impact: Godwin’s too productive to ignore, but with injury concerns and Evans’ reemergence as a bona fide top 10 receiver, it’s enough to make fantasy owners scream in despair this week. If he does end up playing, he’s got a tough matchup against the Rams pass defense. It’s probably best just to leave him out of your lineup this week.
