How to handle T.Y. Hilton injury in Week 4 fantasy football

The Colts receiver is listed as doubtful this week. Here’s the fantasy implications of that.

We probably will not see Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton on the field this week when his team hosts the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. He is officially listed as doubtful this week as he deals with a quad injury.

Hilton has not produced the kind of numbers he would have with Andrew Luck at quarterback this season. The 2019 version of the Colts is a team that leans heavily on the run, making their running backs an attractive fantasy option while the leaving the receivers wanting. However, Hilton has still managed to provide a nice floor for fantasy owners every week this season.

He has a four touchdowns through three games, scoring at least once in each contest. He has yet to crack triple digits for yards in a single game, but he’s been a must-start every week, providing that rare assurance of at least seven points no matter what.

Fantasy impact: We’d feel better about recommending him if he were listed as questionable, but doubtful is a tough one. The Colts are off to a good start this season, so they might opt to leave him on the bench as a precaution. They shouldn’t need him against the Raiders.
