Life comes at you fast. Kyle Allen is the signal-caller with Cam Newton sidelined indefinitely due to a foot injury, and D.J. Moore went from being targeted 10 or more times in Week 1 and Week 2, to being targeted twice in Week 3. Good thing his fantasy day was saved by scoring a touchdown, but we can’t always rely on such a high variance outcome on two targets. Allen was masterful in Week 3 against the Cardinals, but he looks to be locked in on Curtis Samuel and Greg Olsen. Christian McCaffrey is also a detriment to Moore’s upside, making it tough to trust the receiver.

Fantasy Impact: You didn’t come all this way to bench D.J. Moore ($5,600) in season-long leagues against one of the worst defenses against wide receivers. The Texans have allowed Michael Thomas, D.J. Chark and Keenan Allen to score 25.30, 18.50 and 46.60 fantasy points, respectively, so this is definitely not a good group of corners. It’s just tough to feel confident about his DFS upside with Curtis Samuel ($4,600) having a cheaper salary and larger projected role.
