Welcome to Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season! The preseason is a wrap, 53-man rosters are fairly settled, and the road to Super Bowl 54 begins in earnest this Thursday when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers.

The NFL released the full regular season schedule back in April, and we’ve had Week 1 point spreads for some time now. Virtually every sportsbook opened lines for Week 1 games within hours of the NFL schedule release. Below we have a complete list of Week 1 point spreads, courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

The 16 lines have had months and all sorts of roster maneuvering to adjust. Big name players have gotten hurt or retired. Rookies and sleepers have secured starting roles, while some veterans find themselves on the outside looking in. Some lines have held steady, while others have seen significant movement. As you prepare for your Week 1 wagering, we’ve included a look at the opening point spread and point total, and then the current point spread and point total for all 16 matchups this week.

Biggest line movement

The Baltimore Ravens opened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Miami Dolphins, but as of Labor Day, they had climbed to a full touchdown favorite. Their decision to trade away Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills has influenced the line, and it is obvious the Dolphins have entered full-on tank mode.

Biggest favorite

The Philadelphia Eagles are a 9.5-point home favorite over Washington, just edging out the Seattle Seahawks, who are laying nine points at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Eagles are favored to win the NFC East, while Washington is a mess. Case Keenum will get the road start, and while Derrius Guice is an intriguing running back, the offense is otherwise pretty bare-bones. Add in the Trent Williams holdout, and this could get ugly in a hurry for Washington.

Most intriguing line

Home underdogs are one of my favorite wagering opportunities. A strong team can be overvalued, and it sets up a chance to make a few bucks. For Week 1, the Chiefs-Jaguars matchup offers that appetizing opportunity.

The Kansas City Chiefs are a 3.5-point road favorite over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chiefs are coming off a huge 2018 campaign that saw them come up one game short of the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes is the real deal, but this team is due for a little bit of regression in 2019. Meanwhile, the Jaguars had a disaster of a season and finally moved on from Blake Bortles — replacing him with Philadelphia Eagles hero Nick Foles.

The Jaguars are relatively healthy, which most notably means Leonard Fournette is healthy for the time being. Foles is a question mark outside of Philadelphia, but faces a shaky Chiefs defense in his opener. If the Jaguars can control the time of possession with their ground game, their defense still has the power to give the Chiefs a bloody lip.

The line has dropped from five points, so bettors are aware of the possibilities in this matchup. You still have the key hook at 3.5 points, so hop on board while you still cna.
