The top 50 wide receivers in PPR leagues for Week 1

Antonio Brown may or may not talk his way out of Oakland sooner rather than later. For now, he’s a must start. We break down the 50 best wide receivers for PPR leagues heading into Week 1.

There isn’t a deeper position in fantasy football than wide receiver this year. The cream of the crop hasn’t changed much, but with younger talent finding more opportunities to shine we could see some significant turnover as the season progresses.

One player that could see his value tumble is Antonio Brown. Brown finds himself on a new team that is a downgrade in all the important areas. Odell Beckham Jr. also changed uniforms and is now teammates with his bud Jarvis Landry in Cleveland. Baker Mayfield certainly seems to be a more effective quarterback than Eli Manning at this point so we’ll all have our eyes focused on this offense. T.Y. Hilton again finds himself tied to Jacoby Brissett after Andrew Luck’s retirement. However, Hilton proved he could still be an excellent fantasy option with Jacoby at QB. Josh Gordon and Tyreek Hill both avoided suspension and are Week 1 starters.

There isn’t much to review on the opening injury reports. A.J. Green’s foot issue will keep him out the first game and Robby Anderson’s calf is an issue, but he should play Week 1.

Dante Pettis earned the ire of his head coach during training camp, but the young wideout will likely lead the San Francisco 49ers in targets in a sweet Week 1 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It hurts my heart to say that Keenan Allen is at risk of being a Week 1 bust, but the reasons are there. The Indianapolis Colts were one of the better pass defenses last season and with all the injuries on the Los Angeles Chargers offensive line this could be a surprisingly low scoring contest.
