Point spread, total, moneyline and more for Redskins-Eagles in Week 1

Carson Wentz looks to dominate the Redskins and help the Eagles get off to a fast start. We break down all the odds, including the point spread, the over/under, and some interesting player prop bets.

After following up their Super Bowl championship with a humdrum 9-7 campaign in 2018, the Eagles get an opportunity to start off 2019 on the right foot, with what should be an easy matchup against a fellow NFC East foe. But while, on paper, this looks like a safe win for the Birds, be wary of early-season divisional matchups. Over the 50 Week 1 divisional matchups this decade, underdogs actually have a winning record, going 25-24-1.

Nonetheless, this really does look like a cake-walk for Philadelphia. Washington had a bottom-five offense in 2018, by yards and points. Its starting QB, Case Keenum, is playing for his sixth team in six years. Its No. 1 WR was seventh on the team in receiving yards last season, with just 262 yards on 35 targets. It’ll need its mediocre defense to stop on of the most efficient passers in the league, Carson Wentz. Wentz was third among qualified QBs in completion percentage, and the Eagles ran one of the most pass-heavy offenses in 2018.
