Betting split update: The DraftKings Sportsbook betting public is giving the edge to the favored Wisconsin Badgers in the Rose Bowl. The Badgers are a field goal favorite on game day, and thus far, 61 percent of the handle and 53 percent of the tickets bet on the point spread are backing them.
The Wisconsin Badgers look for their first Rose Bowl win in exactly 20 years against the Oregon Ducks in the granddaddy of them all on New Year’s Day.
One of Wisconsin’s three straight Rose Bowl losses fro 2010-12 came against Oregon, which come in as the Ducks come in as the Pac-12 champs and were perhaps one win away from the College Football Playoff. Oregon has a high NFL Draft prospect with Justin Herbert, who completed 66.7% of his passes in 2019 with 32 touchdowns and five interceptions.
Wisconsin is led by workhorse running back Jonathan Taylor, who has gone over 1,900 yards rushing in each of the last three seasons with 50 total rushing touchdowns. He needs 91 yards to be the second player ever to reach 2,000 rushing in consecutive seasons.
Game Time/TV Channel/Streaming
The Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET in Pasadena, California on Wednesday, Jan. 1 and can be seen on ESPN and streamed on WatchESPN.
