Standard wide receiver rankings for wild card round fantasy football

We take you through some of the best wide receivers going in the wild card round for fantasy football

Michael Thomas is head and shoulders above the wide receiver field this weekend, especially when you factor in that DeAndre Hopkins will see Tre’Davious White in coverage, A.J. Brown gets Stephon Gilmore and one of Stefon Diggs or Adam Thielen will matchup with Marcus Lattimore. All of those receivers will get their shots, but they will have a tougher time than usual. Those matchups should boost targets for their teammates and elevate others in better matchups this weekend, but it will still be tough to fade studs in the playoffs.

Pay attention to the injury reports on both sides of the ball for the pass catchers and their defenders. Will Fuller is the most notable name on the injury report. The Texans wide receiver has been dealing with a groin injury. He was listed as limited on the first injury report, which bodes well for his chances of getting back on the field.

The issue is how long he’ll last in the Wild Card game, and even if he makes it through unscathed, if he’ll avoid injury in the later rounds. With playoff fantasy football dependent on getting as many games for your players as possible, it’s hard to justify Fuller at this point. If you think Houston is going to make some noise, you’re better off grabbing Kenny Stills if you don’t land Hopkins.
