Who to play of Jacob Hollister vs. Jimmy Graham in Divisional Round DFS

Looking for some value at TE for the NFL Divisional Round slate on DraftKings? Jacob Hollister and Jimmy Graham are worth considering.

Let’s start with the obvious — we’re all going to do everything we can to fit Travis Kelce ($6,400) or George Kittle ($6,200) into our DraftKings lineups for the Divisional Round. But salaries are really tight on these postseason slates, and value is limited. That leaves TE as a prime position to pay down, and Jacob Hollister ($4,000) and Jimmy Graham ($3,300) are both considerations.

Fantasy football analysis: Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister, Packers TE Jimmy Graham

Hollister was a late addition to the Seahawks in Week 6, replacing Will Dissly, who was in the midst of a fantastic season. It took Hollister a few weeks to catch on, but he showed a high ceiling when he did — catching all three of his touchdowns in Weeks 9-10, and averaging 20 DKFP in those two games. Entering the Divisional Round, Hollister’s averaging 8.1 DKFP through 12 games, but he’s been much better at home. The TE averaged 10.6 DKFP in five games in Seattle, compared to just 6.4 DKFP in seven road games.

Graham had an extremely inconsistent season, also scoring just three touchdowns, and averaging 6.3 DKFP. The former Seahawk is coming off a decent game in Week 17, bringing in 4-of-7 targets for 49 yards (8.9 DKFP). It was the first time It was the most DKFP Graham had scored since Week 7, and his most targets since Week 4. Graham has been slightly better at home this season, averaging 6.9 DKFP in eight games.

This really comes down to two main factors for me — price and matchup. Hollister was more productive during the regular season, but the $700 price difference on the main slate, and $600 difference in Showdown might be a little too much to pay. The Packers ranked right in the middle of the pack defending TE this season at 17th in DKFP allowed. The Seahawks were one of the worst defenses against the position, allowing the third-most DKFP to TE.

Seattle actually allowed the most yards to TE this season (1,216), and was one of two teams to allow over 100 receptions to the TE position (106). That’s difficult to do! Opposing TEs also scored six touchdowns against the Seahawks, which likely saved them from allowing the most DKFP to the position. With Aaron Rodgers lacking options behind Davante Adams in the passing game, look for Graham to potentially see an expanded role in a revenge game against his former squad.
