How to handle Mark Ingram injury in Divisional round

Mark Ingram’s status for the Divisional Round still isn’t clear. Gus Edwards could be in for a heavier workload because of that.

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram has finally returned to practice on Thursday for the first time since Week 16. He was not a full participant in practice though and his status for Saturday’s Divisional Round matchup against the Tennessee Titans remains up in the air.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh doesn’t seem too confident about Ingram playing and said he wants to “see how it goes” following Thursday’s practice. This makes Baltimore’s running back situation a little murky.

Fantasy football analysis: Ravens RB Mark Ingram

Ingram not logging a full practice is concerning given how valuable he is to Baltimore’s offense. Only Lamar Jackson outpaced him in rushing yards this year. Jackson has a huge part of the Ravens’ record-breaking season, but the offense needs a dependable RB1 to be effective.

Ingram might play, but Gus Edwards is a likely candidate to get the most touches of the Ravens’ running backs — with Justice Hill getting some third down work. Running a dialed-down version of Ingram into the ground wouldn’t make sense for Baltimore in this contest.
