How to handle Adam Thielen injury in Divisional round fantasy football

Adam Thielen is determined to play in the Divisional Round, and the ankle injury he’s been dealing with shouldn’t stop him from doing so.

UPDATE: Thielen is expected to play, but will wear protective padding around his stitched-up ankle, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen looked great during his team’s Wild Card victory against the New Orleans Saints, but now he’s battling an ankle injury. He suffered the injury on Wednesday but didn’t participate at all on Thursday.

Thielen’s injury was a cut, which required stitches. He isn’t worried about that keeping him out a Divisional Round game against the 49ers, though.

“I got a little tangled up at practice, but I’m going to do whatever it takes (to play), it’s playoffs so I’m going to do whatever it takes to be out there on Saturday with my teammates and help this team win,” Thielen said Thursday.

Fantasy football analysis: Vikings WR Adam Thielen

Thielen proved he can still be a game changer after recording seven receptions for 129 yards last week. He might not match that stat line this weekend, but he’ll still be an important part of Minnesota’s offense alongside Stefon Diggs.
