UPDATE: Cook added one more rushing attempt for no gain and caught one more pass for two yards in the 27-10 loss.
The Minnesota Vikings are struggling against the San Francisco 49ers, and the ground game has been a big problem. Midway through the fourth quarter, running back Dalvin Cook has rushed eight times for 18 yards and caught five passes for six yards. That’s good for 7.4 DKFP, thanks primarily to his receptions. The Vikings trail 27-10.
Cook has been a key cog in this offense, but the entire offense has been shut down in this one. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has thrown for only 87 yards with one touchdown and one interception. His touchdown was a 41-yard catch and run to Stefon Diggs, and if we remove that play, the Vikings have 40 total yards of offense.
A week ago, Cook had 130 total yards and scored two touchdowns in the Vikings upset of the New Orleans Saints.
