How to handle Travis Kelce injury in Divisional round fantasy football

Travis Kelce is still dealing with a knee injury, but it shouldn’t keep him sidelined for the Divisional Round.

UPDATE: Ian Rapoport is reporting Kelce is expected to play but will be dealing with “a small bit of pain.”

Kansas City Chiefs tight end was limited for his third practice this week ahead of his team’s Divisional Round matchup with the Houston Texans this weekend. He has been battling a knee injury and is listed a questionable to play Sunday.

Head coach Andy Reid spoke out Thursday about Kelce’s status to clear things up regarding the state of his effected knee. He said the injury was “more of a bruise than anything else.”

Fantasy football analysis: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

Kelce has been one of the most consistent tight ends in the NFL in recent years, as he’s only missed one game in five seasons with the Chiefs. He’s also logged over 1,000 receiving yards for four consecutive seasons. It’s doubtful that a bruise will keep Kelce out of such an important game, and the Texans’ pass defense has been questionable all year. Kelce should be able to put together a strong performance without being at full strength.
