Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is dealing with a new injury in Sunday’s Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans. According to NFL Network’s James Palmer he had a tight hamstring evaluated in the second half. But he returned to the field to get loose shortly after.
Kelce was limited at practice this week because of a knee bruise but overcame that pain to put together an impressive first-half performance. He tallied eight receptions for 83 yards and three scores in the first half and was a driving force behind the Chiefs’ comeback from a 24-0 deficit. Kansas City led 28-24 at the half thanks to his efforts.
Kelce returned on the Chiefs next drive, but could be limited. How much Kelce plays down the stretch will likely be determined by whether the Texans remain competitive.
