UPDATE: Midway through the third quarter, Lazard is on the sideline with his helmet on while the Packers offense is on the field.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard is headed to the locker room to be evaluated for an ankle injury. The second year wideout was shaken up after colliding with his teammate, running back Aaron Jones in the second quarter.
Lazard had to be assisted off the field after Jones crashed into the back of his legs on a running play. He’s questionable to return to the contest.
Lazard had been climbing the Packers’ wide receiver depth chart in recent weeks and appeared to be become a second or third option in the passing game behind Davante Adams. He wasn’t able to haul in a pass during the first half as Green Bay amassed a 14-3 lead, but he did tally one rushing attempt for five yards.
