The Divisional round is a wrap, and we’re one step away from Super Bowl 54. The NFC Championship Game wraps up the conference title double-header with the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Green Bay Packers in a matchup of the top two seeds int he conference. The game is scheduled for Sunday, January 19th, with kickoff set for 6:40 p.m. ET. The game will air on FOX.
The Packers jumped on top of the Seahawks 21-3 in the first half, but in traditional Seattle fashion, the road dogs came back to turn this into a one possession game. They came up short in the end however, and the Packers won 28-23. Davante Adams was the key on offense with a franchise playoff record 160 yards and two touchdowns, while Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith combined for four sacks of Russell Wilson.
The 49ers were tied with the Vikings early in their Divisional round matchup, but rolled in the second half to a 27-10 win. The score was not all that indicative of the 49ers dominance. They led first downs 21-7 and more than doubled the Vikings in total yards. Once Emmanuel Moseley replaced Ahkello Witherspoon at cornerback, the Vikings offense was effectively shut down.
San Francisco opened as a touchdown favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the point total set at 45. The 49ers are currently 10-6-1 against the spread and have gone over the point total eight times. The Packers are 11-6 against the spread and have gone over the point total seven times.
