UPDATE: Jan. 20, 7:11 a.m. — Oubre (concussion) is probable to return to the lineup Monday vs. the Spurs. Oubre ($7,100) had been sidelined the past two games after being placed in concussion protocol early last week. The Suns ended up winning both games thanks to Devin Booker, who is on one of those scoring binges again.

Aron Baynes (left hip soreness) DOUBTFUL

Fantasy basketball analysis: Phoenix Suns G/F Kelly Oubre Jr.
With Oubre back, Booker ($8,600) won’t have to do as much offensively, but that shouldn’t shy you off the SG on the MLK Day slate. Suns-Spurs is on the later five-gamer, and I’d consider both Booker and Oubre strong tournament plays. I’d also suspect Oubre is fine to roll out in season-long as well.
Phoenix Suns G/F Kelly Oubre Jr. has been ruled out for Thursday’s game vs. the New York Knicks due to a concussion.

Kelly Oubre Jr. (concussion protocol) OUT
Frank Kaminsky III (right patella stress fracture) OUT
Ricky Rubio is expected to rejoin the team in New York after missing Tuesday's game for family reasons.
Oubre played 38 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Hawks, so it’s unclear when he hurt his head and was placed in concussion protocol. Still, Oubre will be sidelined for Thursday’s matchup. Ricky Rubio (personal) is expected to be back in the lineup after missing Tuesday due to the birth of his child.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Phoenix Suns G/F Kelly Oubre Jr.
With Oubre out and Rubio back, I’d imagine Elie Okobo goes back to the bench and Mikal Bridges is inserted into the starting lineup at small forward. Bridges played 33 minutes against Atlanta, so he was seeing significant playing time with Oubre healthy. Now, the youngster out of Villanova should see increased usage on offense and will be a trendy value play on DraftKings on Thursday. We don’t know how serious this concussion is, but if Oubre is out a little while, Bridges is a good waiver wire claim. Rookie Cameron Johnson should also see additional minutes and isn’t a bad add — particularly in keeper formats.
