The NFC title is on the line as the Packers take on the 49ers in San Francisco this weekend. With only four D/ST’s to choose from in your line-ups this week, are either of these worth rostering? We break down the fantasy football implications below.
Fantasy football Advice: San Francisco 49ers D/ST
The 49ers are coming off of a dominant performance in which they easily handled the Vikings offense, recording one interception, one fumble recovery, and six sacks, while holding Minnesota to only 10 points. Perhaps the most impressive stat of the game, was that they managed to hold Dalvin Cook to only 18 yards on nine carries. This defense has been strong all season and seemed to be clicking on all cylinders in the Divisional round. The Packers offense cannot be taken lightly, with Aaron Rodgers leading the way, but every opposing team has a good offense at this stage of the playoffs. They have averaged 10.4 fantasy points per game on the season and the price tag of $2900 in Classic contests and $5000 (Flex)/$7500 (Captain) is worth the cost.
Fantasy football advice, Green Bay D/ST
The Green Bay Packers come at a price of $2400 in Classic contests this week and $3400 (Flex)/ $5100(Captain) in Showdown Captain mode. They are coming off a game against Seattle in which they gave up 23 points, and had no interceptions or fumble recoveries, but did manage to record five sacks. The Packers only average 6.9 fantasy points per game on the season, and they have allowed an average of 19.6 points per game. They are a mediocre choice for line-ups as a bargain play, and upside is limited against the 49ers offense this weekend.
